Claire and I often use the phrase "We weren't born here, but we got here as quickly as we could." We love living on the coast. It's beautiful and indescribably special during all seasons of the year and has a rich history that spans generations. We have created life-long memories with our children and grandchildren in this special place. We would like to afford our clients the same opportunity.
A native South Carolinian, I graduated from Wofford College, joined the SC Army National Guard, then taught school for two years. After a career of more than 20 years in the claims arena of SC Farm Bureau, I obtained my general contractor's license in 1997 and began building custom residences. Home building and real estate are a natural combination, so I obtained my real estate license in 2009 after moving to coastal South Carolina.
For me, the relationships with clients are critical. As a husband-wife team, our goal is to provide extraordinary service to both buyers and sellers. We have found that the Peace Sotheby's International Realty affiliation aligns with our service commitment. I am currently serving on the Board for Teach My People, a faith-based after school program. I am also a member of the Georgetown County Zoning Board of Appeals. As a Past President of the Rotary Club of Georgetown, I continue to be a fundraiser for the Annual Shag Festival which raises monies for cutting edge Alzheimer's research. I am a member of All Saints Church, an Anglican Community, where I recently served as Junior Warden. I enjoy travel and am an avid Harley rider.
